You'll have the opportunity to inquire about virtually every aspect of travel in and around Paris, France. You'll plan an itinerary for travel as if for a family trip. Read on to discover more about your "trip"...

Congratulations, student!

You've just won a family trip to Paris, France! You get to plan the trip yourself, choosing what sites you'd like to visit while in the City of Lights! First, you'll need to do some research, to ensure that you see all the "not to be missed" places of Paris. In order to do that, check out the library book selections given in the Bibliography. After you've read a bit, explore the sights of Paris through the links given below. When you've explored as much as you want, you'll be ready to answer the following questions in a report to me which will complete your Webquest experience. You may provide your answers in any format you choose: question and answer, expository report, essay, whatever. Just make sure you've given me all the information that I am asking for, and that you've thoroughly checked out all the sites you find relevant to your search. Finally, Bon Voyage!

In answering the questions, keep in mind that you'll be evaluated based on the following criteria:

50% overall plan for trip

20% thorough coverage of question material

20% organization

10% correct spelling and punctuation

Consider whether each sight is a cultural treasure, artistic must-see, or simply a fun place you won't want to miss in your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity trip. The choices of where you will plan to visit are your own. Just make sure you've chosen well.

1. Where is France, anyway?

2. What five sights would you most like to visit with your family while in Paris? Where are they located? How much time would you need at each location? How much money for each attraction?

4. How does the American dollar compare to the French Franc?

5. What adjustment must you make to your watch when you arrive in Paris?

6. Describe the French flag.
